The Mini Vinnies are always looking for new ways to turn “concern into action” and this May they decided that they wanted to make people smile. May is known as the month of Mary and so they decided that they would hold a Mary assembly and ask the school to donate a flower for Mary. The whole school turned up in blue as part of the non-uniform day as well. The day was a great success, with the whole school donating flowers to be given out to worthy causes.
The Mini Vinnies were amazed at the generosity of our children and families, with lots of children bringing in whole bunches of flowers for us to donate to our community and spread happiness in celebration of Mary. The Mini Vinnies did a great job of creating bunches of flowers to go to various people, including: giving some to parishioners who are unable to get out at the moment and giving some to Ashworth Grange Care Home. All recipients were amazed to receive such a wonderful gift from St Paulinus. Well done everybody, you have made a lot of people happy today.
