The children really enjoyed participating in activities all about doctors and nurses.  They enjoyed dressing up and role playing doctors and nurses such as giving each other injections, putting bandages on each other and listening to one another’s heartbeats with the stethoscope.  The children investigated a doctors medical kit learning lots of new vocabulary like stethoscope, syringe, thermometer, swab, blood pressure monitor etc. They then practised their cutting skills, cutting out pictures of medical equipment and glueing it onto a doctors bag.  The children also made get well soon cards and played with a small world hospital.  It was really lovely to have a visit from our early years governor, Mrs Worden.  She enjoyed being bandaged and injected and went home feeling on top of the world!
