We visited ‘Yorkshire Wildlife Park’. It was a rainy day but it did not stop us having fun. We complete an amazing animal’s workshop. This was really fun; we smelt camel fur and had to guess the animals by looking at their skeletons. We stroked ‘Banana’ the corn snake and we held ‘Sheldon’ the giant slug. The camel fur was really pongy. We learnt that camels shred their fur once a year and during the process, they look patch but then in summer look lovely and smooth. We said they had water in their humps but they actually have fat in them and they can go 6 whole months without eating or drinking using this fat. How amazing is that?  We had to pretend we were lions and we were tested to see if we’re as loud as lions roar. We were actually quieter. We had to do the ostrich dance and that was really fun.

While walking around the park we saw some lions, tigers, polar bears, meerkats, dears and lemurs. The polar bears had to be our favourite animal because they were playing games and chasing each other then dive-bombing into the lake. It was funny watching them.
